Below is my journey with FreeBSD. I love MacOS for my day to day OS. Linux, while popular requires too much niche knowledge from one distribution to another. Just look at how many package installers, linux has. I have given FreeBSD a shot, and while the hardware compatibility leaves something to desire, I am having fun halo jumping into the BSD userland.
